NEW BOOK RELEASE: April 16, 2008

Dear Colleagues,

Terms such as “quadruple play,” “portfolio competition,” and “convergence” dominate today’s telecommunications discussions at all levels—strategy, marketing, pricing, litigation, and public policy to name a few. Telecommunications professionals must adjust their thinking to this evolving environment and leave behind the legacy approaches from the days when there were separate markets for fixed (wireline) and mobile (wireless) telephone service and when acronyms such as VoIP, Wi-Fi, IPTV, and WiMAX did not exist.

I am pleased to share with you the upcoming release of The K&L Gates–NERA Global Telecom Review,
a new book from NERA Economic Consulting and K&L Gates that presents insights from a diverse range of legal, economic, and industry professionals from markets around the globe, highlighting some key aspects and debates that shape the evolving telecommunications industry. The book, which I co-edited with Martin L. Stern of K&L Gates, provides an in-depth look at the current state of the telecommunications industry. The book will be released next week on Wednesday April 16, 2008.

Complementary copies are available for industry participants and members of the media. To receive your copy, please send me an email with your contact information (name, company, complete address, phone contacts, and email address). Request forms will also be available on NERA’s website at: www.nera.com

I hope you find the insights presented in The K&L Gates–NERA Global Telecom Review to be informative and thought provoking. Should you be interested in continuing a dialog on any of these topics, or find yourself in need of an expert opinion on a related matter, please do not hesitate to contact me.
